Quote of the Pod on Tennessee
On what the offensive line could look like for Tennessee if Cooper Mays is back this week at center…
Austin Price: “I don’t think it really changes. You know, I think it ultimately is the same. Now, do I think Ollie [Lane] could get some run at left guard? Absolutely. Do I think he starts? No. I think if Cooper starts at center, it’s the same. The question is does Gerald Mincey finally get the start he was supposed to get two games ago against Florida?”
Brent Hubbs: “My guess is for this game, if Cooper can go then Cooper is the starting center. I’m with you, everything else stays the same. And then Crawford plays right tackle with a rotation for Mincey and Campbell is at left tackle assuming everything’s good to go for him. I believe it is and that leaves [Andrej] Karic and [JaVontez] Spraggins at the guards. I think that’s the way they start. Maybe you rotate a little heavier. If Cooper is back – I don’t know that you can realistically expect him to play 70 snaps in the football game and his first outing out given how little practice time and condition time he’s had. Now maybe he’s in better shape than I give him credit for, but I’m not sure he can go 70 stamps for you.”
