2025 standout receiver Bryson Hayes recaps Kansas State visit
The 2025 class in the state of Kansas appears to be a loaded group. Kansas State is in early on five prospects consisting of Jayden Woods, Andrew Babalola, Linkon Cure, Dasaahn Brame and Bryson Hayes.
Julian Marks is a Sunflower State product in the same class that is already committed to Missouri.
Babalola, Cure, Brame and Hayes have already visited K-State this season, with Woods currently working on a date to be in Manhattan as well. For Hayes, it was his third time at Kansas State since the month of June.
“The visit was great,” he said. “It was good to finally get to Manhattan for a game. It was always a dream as a kid.”
There are pictures of Hayes in Wildcat gear as a child and he comes from a family of K-State fans. Suffice it to say, it was a special day for is family too and one that they won’t soon forget. He discussed that experience.
“My sister loved that I brought her and she had the time of her life,” he pointed out. “She graduated from there. My favorite part was talking to all the coaches and players after and before the game. I think it’s cool how they are like one big family.”
Kansas State put up 44 points and had over 500 yards of offense while he was in town. Though it was not perfect, they had their way with UCF for the most part. As a wide receiver with a bright future, he enjoyed every second of seeing the potent attack.
“I think they played great,” Hayes explained. “They definitely showed how to come back after a tough loss last week. The offense has everything going for them, run and pass.”
He also shared more about his conversations with K-State receivers coach Matthew Middleton. Like Hayes, Middleton is from Kansas as well and it pours through and is apparent to Hayes when the assistant is recruiting for the Wildcats.
“Our relationship has grown tremendously over the past couple of months,” Hayes revealed. “We speak often. We talk about both of our seasons. How passionate he is for Manhattan stands out when speaking to him.”
One visit to Kansas State is down, and he was happy to be able to see the Wildcats greet the Knights.
“I really wanted to watch a newcomer in the Big 12 conference and it was a chance for Avery Johnson to play,” he explained. “He loves it up there and how much of a family they are.”
The only other visit Hayes has scheduled for the fall is a trip to Nebraska this weekend.
