Dabo Swinney announces Clemson CB Nate Wiggins is ‘day-to-day’ with leg injury
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney provided an update on star cornerback Nate Wiggins during his press conference on Tuesday.
Wiggins is considered “day-to-day” after leaving Saturday’s game against Florida State with a leg injury.
It initially seemed as though Wiggins was going to be out for a significant amount of time as he was unable to put any pressure on his leg after breaking up a pass in the final seconds against the Seminoles.
However, Swinney said on his teleconference Sunday night that there was no ligament damage. On Tuesday, he elaborated on where Wiggins is now ahead of Saturday’s game at Syracuse.
“Day-to-day. He’s day-to-day,” Swinney said. “Moved around last night, and I think he’ll get better each day. We’ll see.”
