Multiple 5-star recruits expected to visit Auburn basketball this weekend
Auburn football will have many recruits on campus Saturday when the Tigers host No. 1 Georgia. The basketball team won’t have the quantity of visitors as the football team, but they won’t be short on quality.
Bruce Pearl’s program is expected to have one five-star recruit and a top-51 recruit on official visits, plus two five-stars and an in-state riser on unofficial visits.
2 official visitors expected in Auburn
The two recruits expected in on official visits are Class of 2025 five-star shooting guard Jalan Haralson and Class of 2025 four-star shooting guard Jeremiah Green.
Haralson, who attends La Lumiere School in Anderson, Ind., is ranked the No. 7 overall recruit in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 ranks him the No. 5 overall recruit in the class and No. 3 shooting guard. He also ranks the No. 1 overall recruit in Indiana.
Green is from Denton, Texas, but recently announced a transfer to Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kan. He is ranked No. 51 overall in the ’25 Industry Ranking. He also ranks the No. 4 combo guard in the country and No. 1 overall recruit in Kansas.
Class of 2025 five-star shooting guard Meleek Thomas previously had scheduled to take an official visit to Auburn this weekend, but has postponed. He’s expected to visit later in the cycle, but has not set a new date. Thomas is ranked the No. 5 overall recruit in the ’25 class and No. 2 shooting guard, per the On3 Industry Ranking.
2 5-star unofficial visitors
The unofficial visitor list includes two five-star recruits and an in-state riser. Five-star power forward Bryson Tiller is expected to be on campus Saturday. He previously planned to visit the Tigers on Sept. 16, but had to reschedule to Sept. 29.
The On3 Industry Ranking ranks Tiller the No. 6 overall recruit in ’25, the No. 4 power forward in the country and No. 2 overall recruit in Georgia. He is from Atlanta.
Also expected to be on campus on unofficial visits are five-star Auburn commit Tahaad Pettiford and Huntsville (Ala.) shooting guard Simon Walker.
Pettiford is ranked a five-star recruit by Rivals.com and No. 23 overall by the Class of 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. He committed to Auburn in February and has remained solid in his pledge. He is the lone commitment in the Tigers’ 2024 recruiting class.
Walker is a new target for the Tigers. He recently earned an offer from Auburn after a standout performance at a summer camp. Walker plays AAU ball for Pro One.
Last season for Pro One, he shot 47 percent from the field (74 of 156) and 36 percent from the 3-point line (34 of 94). He averaged 13.1 points per game, 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 steals.
