Texas A&M QB Conner Weigman heads to locker room with ankle injury

Texas A&M quarterback Conner Weigman has gone to the locker room after suffering an apparent left ankle injury in the second quarter against Auburn.

Weigman finished out the series after taking a hit to his lower leg, but he came of the field in obvious pain and went straight to the team’s injury tent.

The ESPN broadcast crew provided a brief update.

“Conner Weigman has gone into the locker room to have further evaluation on his left ankle,” ESPN’s Kris Budden said. “They took him off in the injury tent. Jimbo Fisher went in to check on him. I watched him and heard him coming off the field, he was shouting in pain, barely able to put any pressure on that left lower leg.”
