Inside the new five-star On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine pick for Georgia

Georgia had some top recruits on campus Saturday for their win over South Carolina. It wasn’t one of Georgia’s best performances in big games, but it showed some grit, toughness and determination with the way the Bulldogs bounced back with a big second half to defeat the Gamecocks 24-10.
One of the biggest recruits in attendance was Zayden Walker. The 6-foot-1.5, 225-pound EDGE out of Ellaville (Ga.) Schley County is one of the pass rushers in the country. Walker is the No. 10 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings.
Georgia offered him early, he has visited Athens around 10 times and he again enjoyed himself this weekend.
“The game-day atmosphere was awesome,” Walker told On3 after the game. “My interest in Georgia gets higher every time I visit Athens. This visit made a strong impression. It was one of my best visits ever. I liked everything about the visit. I couldn’t name two or three things that stood out, it was more like 1,000. Georgia just feels like home sweet home.”
At different times, there have been different programs competing with Georgia for the top spot on Walker’s list. But Georgia has always been right there at, or near the top. South Carolina was viewed as a strong contender early. Florida State has had Walker on campus numerous times. Miami came on over the summer. All three programs are still there, as are others, but early on, all are chasing Georgia.
I like where the Bulldogs sit for Walker and have put in a pick for the Bulldogs on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. It does not mean a decision is imminent for Walker, but I have been told by a source that commitment has crossed his mind. In recruiting today, things change very quickly, but Georgia is the school setting the pace in his recruitment.
Zayden Walker Scouting Summary
The early front-runner for top EDGE prospect in the 2025 cycle as a rising junior. An unverified 6-foot-2, 220 pounds. Flashes a high-end combination of on-field athleticism and functional play strength. Lines up in both two and three-point stances off the edge. Shows noticeable first-step quickness off the snap. Very strong at the point of attack. Plays with excellent leverage and uses his strong lower body to move offensive linemen both as a bull rusher and run defender. Makes some eye-popping plays in pursuit, showcasing high-end athleticism in tracking down ball carriers from the backside. Doubles as a dangerous running back, using his athleticism and strength to pick up yards after contact. Helped his team to a state title appearance as a sophomore.
