2025 four-star Jadon Perlotte sets visit to SEC program
Buford (Ga.) 2025 four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte is set to continue his tour around the country. The Georgia commit will make his way to Knoxville on Saturday to visit Tennessee. Perlotte is the No. 45 overall prospect in the 2025 On300 rankings.
Jadon Perlotte connecting with Tennessee coaching staff
This will be Perlotte’s second visit to Knoxville. The Volunteers were Perlotte’s fourth offer overall. Perlotte feels like a priority for the Volunteers. In fact, they’re one of the programs after him the hardest. Perlotte has had multiple conversations with Tennessee’s head coach Josh Heupel.
“They’re recruiting the hardest probably out of my top five schools,” Perlotte told On3. “Coach (Josh) Heupel and I talk almost every day, He’s just making sure I got back up there and making sure that my family is good. I’ve been up there once. I really liked the facilities. I’m going to be going up there to watch the spring practices. That should be a good thing to look at. Tennessee was good last year. So I’m going to keep my eye on them.”
Perlotte enjoys his interactions with Heupel.
“He’s a really fun guy to be around,” Perlotte said. “He loves sports and he’s always telling me that he’s better than me at football and basketball. That’s not true. He’s a good guy. I really enjoy talking to him and he knows what he’s talking about.”
Perlotte has also gotten to know linebackers’ coach Brian Jean-Mary as well. Jean-Mary has been the main recruiter for Perlotte throughout the process. He feels Jean-Mary has a lot of respect for him as a person and player.
“He loves me,” Perlotte said. “He’s a really good coach and a really good guy to be around.”
Georgia still home
Perlotte committed to Georgia back on Dec. 8 2022. The four-star linebacker talks to the Bulldogs’ coaching staff on a regular basis.
He recently stopped in Athens to watch Georgia’s spring practices. Perlotte was impressed with the direction of the back-to-back national champions heading into 2023.
“We’ve been talking about their upcoming season and how their new outside linebackers are going to perform,” Perlotte said. “I went to the first practice. They look really good. They’re probably going to win it again and go back-to-back-to-back. They’re making sure I’m still locked in and just checking on me. I really appreciate that.”
