Green Bay Packers release Thursday injury report ahead of Week 2 game vs. Falcons

The Green Bay Packers have released their Thursday injury report heading into Week 2. They travel to Atlanta for a Sunday showdown against the Atlanta Falcons.
A total of nine players were on the list, though some of those were full participants in Thursday’s practice. Here’s a look at the injury report out of Green Bay, according to the team’s official website:

The Packers had very little trouble with the Chicago Bears in their NFL season opener last weekend. Even without Aaron Rodgers under center, Green Bay cruised to a 38-20 victory at Soldier Field.
Jordan Love completed 15-of-27 passes for 245 yards with three touchdowns. Aaron Jones led the team in both rushing and receiving in the game. He totaled 41 yards and a touchdown on the ground with nine carries. He also caught two passes for 86 yards and a touchdown.
Atlanta got a season-opening win over the Carolina Panthers, 24-10.

Atlanta also provided an updated injury report heading into this weekend’s game against the Packers. Five players were mentioned on the list:

The Falcons’ defense was the story in Sunday’s win over the Panthers. Atlanta forced three turnovers, forcing a fumble and intercepting two passes in the 14-point victory.
Offensively, quarterback Desmond Ridder pieced together a consistent effort. He completed 15-of-18 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown. The Falcons also got decent production on the ground, getting 75 yards and two touchdowns from Tyler Allgeier. Bijan Robinson added 56 rushing yards and also caught six passes for 27 yards and a touchdown.
Sunday’s game marks the first meeting between the Packers and Falcons since 2020. Green Bay has each of the last two contests in the head-to-head series.
Sunday’s game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start time from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The game airs on FOX.
