Colorado made a strong impression on 2025 QB Bekkem Kritza

Bekkem Kritza lived in Colorado once. He has been to Boulder numerous times, so he knows what Colorado football is about. The 2025 quarterback was back on campus for his first game with Deion Sanders as the head coach last weekend. It was different. The Buffaloes moved to 2-0 in front of Kritza with a 36-14 win.

And the 6-foot-5, 185-pound junior liked what he saw.

“It was great,” Kritza told On3. “I got to see pretty much everything. they showed me around, but I’m pretty used to the campus just because I’ve been up there a bunch before Coach Prime got there. Overall, I had a great time with all the fans and coaches.”

Since Aug. 1, a long list of schools have been reaching out and communicating with Kritza. He has been talking to Auburn, Georgia, Louisville, Miami, Penn State and Texas A&M among others. None may be recruiting him harder than Colorado.

“I talk to Coach Sean Lewis every day. He checks in with me a lot and we have constant conversations. Then you have Coach Prime. Many may think he’s Hollywood and all that, but he texts and calls me. Coach Prime is personal like that. To get it from him, it is different. Colorado is coming after me hard.”

Kritza felt that same type of love in person.

“I got to talk to Coach Lewis on the visit and we had a great conversation. We talked about how I fit into the offense and how I am one of the top guys that they are going after. He has always shown me a lot of attention.”

The visits to Boulder are adding up for one of the top signal callers in the 2025 class. He sees what the Buffaloes are building under Sanders and the chance to play for him is appealing. As a quarterback, he likes the idea of playing for Coach Lewis too.

“Coach Lewis is a genius. I love how much freedom he gives the quarterback in the system. I love the way they move the hall around and they definitely run an offense that I could see myself thriving in.”

Kritza isn’t ready to name a leader yet, but he said, “I am very high on Colorado at the moment.”
