Auburn Football Recruiting Hot Board: Defense

Auburn has 18 commitments in its 2024 recruiting class with 11 projected to play on defense.

There’s still plenty of work to be done before the early signing period begins in December. There’s also plenty of time.

Below are the recruits I believe are the top targets at each position and my guesses at Auburn’s chances of signing them. Keep in mind, the percentages are Auburn’s chances against the field.

Defensive line (4-5)

Auburn has three commitments along the defensive line, but continues to pursue others. Beaman, Franklin and McCray appear to be the top remaining targets and I think all will visit again this fall. Beaman already has locked in an official visit for the Georgia game (Sept. 30).

Shaw and Waller appear to be the top two targets here and both are expected to visit again this fall. Phillips and Barber will be back on campus for official visits the weekend of the Georgia game (Sept. 30). I wouldn’t be surprised to see Shaw and/or Waller there as well.

Robinson is a junior college safety from Greenville, Ala. He has Auburn in his top five. He’s one to keep an eye on as Auburn continues to recruit both Patterson and Bolden.
