Kickoff time announced for Oregon’s Week 4 showdown with Colorado
Before the 2023 season began, few predicted that Colorado would contend in a loaded Pac-12 that landed five teams in the preseason top 25 of the AP Poll.
But after two weeks, Deion Sanders’ Buffs have notched a pair of impressive wins, and now their Week 4 trip to Eugene has all the makings of a marquee showdown.
On Monday, it was announced that No. 13 Oregon will host No. 18 Colorado will get a national television slot on Sept. 23. The Ducks and Buffs will kick off at 12:30 p.m. PT and air on ABC.
Colorado is coming off an emphatic 36-14 home win over Nebraska, while Oregon nabbed a hard-fought 38-30 win at Texas Tech in Week 2.
Both teams enter Week 3 as heavy favorites — with the Ducks slated to host Hawaii as 37-point favorites, while the Buffs are 22.5-point favorites over Colorado State.
Assuming both teams take care of business this weekend, their Week 4 matchup will be one of the more anticipated tilts of the season thus far.
There will be no lack of storylines ahead of the showdown at Autzen.
After Colorado’s Week 1 win over TCU, Sanders made a point to call out many of the reporters who he perceived to be critical in their preseason coverage of the Buffs.
During his press conference at Oregon’s media day in July, Ducks’ head coach Dan Lanning was asked for his reaction to Colorado departing the Pac-12 for the Big-12 and responded with a shot at the Buffs.
“Not a big reaction,” Lanning said. “I’m trying to remember what they won to affect this conference and I don’t remember. Do you remember them winning anything? I don’t remember them winning anything.”
