Deion Sanders explains why he slept in his office Friday night ahead of Nebraska game
No coach in the nation is as bought-in as Colorado head coach Deion Sanders. A true program guy, Coach Prime spent Friday night sleeping in his office overlooking Folsom Field in anticipation for Saturday’s game against Nebraska.
“I wanted to wake up and see the stadium. I wanted to wake up and feel it,” Sanders revealed on Fox’s Big Noon Kickoff. “I wanted to see it empty and see the transformation. That’s pretty much what we’re doing.”
The last time Colorado hosted an event at Folsom Field — 47,277 fans showed up for the 2023 spring game kick off the Coach Prime era in Boulder. That number is good for 88 percent of the stadium’s maximum capacity — a spring game record for the program. The previous attendance record for a spring game at Colorado, 17,800, was completely shattered. A 100 percent sell out is expected for this matchup.
Kickoff between the Buffs and Huskers is set for Noon ET live on FOX. Colorado enters the matchup as a 2.5-point betting favorite, per Vegas Insider.
