Wolverine TV: Five recruits Michigan can flip before signing day

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland breaks down five 2024 recruits Michigan can flip before the early signing period in December, including On300 Georgia wide receiver commit Nitro Tuggle.

Recruitment of Tuggle

Tuggle visited Michigan in the spring but committed to Georgia in April. However, the Wolverines are working to keep the Nappanee (Ind.) Northwood product close to home and recently added a commitment from his teammate, three-star cornerback Jo’Ziah Edmond.

Here is what Holland had to say about where the Wolverines stand:

“He is a teammate of Michigan cornerback commit Jo’Ziah Edmond, and that’s reignited interest from Tuggle,” Holland said. “For those of you that might remember, Tuggle visited Michigan in the offseason. There is familiarity with wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy. Tuggle himself has said that he wants to make some other visits. Now, there are some NIL schools involved. But I do think Michigan has a good chance here with the Edmond connection, it being closer to home and, like I said, the familiarity with the program and relationship he has with Ron Bellamy. If Michigan has success on the field and Michigan continues to open up the offense, Nitro Tuggle could very well be that guy Michigan so desperately desires on the outside. Remember, Michigan has wanted to add some size on the outside, and they haven’t been able to do that.”

Along with Michigan, Tuggle is considering making visits to Miami and Texas A&M.

At 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, Tuggle is ranked as the No. 20 wide receiver and No. 109 overall recruit in the country, per the On3 Industry Recruiting Rankings. He is also ranked as the No. 2 overall prospect in the state of Indiana.

Michigan holds 27 verbal commitments in its 2024 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 9 nationally in the On3 Industry team recruiting rankings.
