Rusty’s Ramblings: A look at UGA visitors for Ball State and more
Georgia plays the second of four straight home games to start the season on Saturday. It’ll host Ball State (12 p.m. ET on SEC Network). As you can imagine, with a big SEC home game looming next weekend and a noon start this, the list of expected visitors just isn’t very deep. I was able to confirm a few names that will be in town, including some new names to know down the line.
QB Dylan Raiola – UGA commit
EDGE Quintavius Johnson – UGA commit
RB Bo Walker (2025) – Cedar Grove standout has Power 5 offers
LB Brett Clatterbaugh – From Virginia and has a Georgia offer
QB Travis Burgess (2026) – 6-foot-5 signal caller who is is now at Grayson after coming over from Whitfield Academy. A lot of people are really high on him for a couple years down the line.
QB Amari Griffin (2025) – Signal caller from Alabama who is starting to create some buzz.
*** One of the main things I’m looking for this weekend outside of injured guys returning is is the play of the offensive line and if we see more rotation with Dylan Fairchild and Micah Morris early in the game? I love the idea of getting those two some experience right now because both will be HEAVILY counted on next season, especially with a big opener against Clemson in Atlanta.
*** I’m also interested in how much Smael Mondon plays this week and if he gets back in the regular rotation/early-down snaps. He is different and he makes this team a lot faster on the field. I feel like right now Georgia has at least three first rounders on this defense and Mondon is one of them. Malaki Starks and Mykel Williams are the other two.
