‘Dream comes true’ for 2026 Louisiana OL Brysten Martinez

2026 Gonzalez (La.) East Ascension offensive tackle Brysten Martinez is one of the top prospects in Louisiana. After Wednesday night, he now holds an LSU offer.

“A dream come true, literally,” Martinez told On3. “They’re a very talented team, but have downs like every other team. I’m sure they will fix everything going into these next two weeks.”

Quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan delivered the offer to the 6-6, 290-pounder after seeing him in-person to kick off his sophomore season.

“He’s great,” Martinez said. “I’m glad he’s giving me a chance to showcase my talent at another level. He told me how I impressed him last Friday at our game and how I’ve improved in the last year.”

LSU now joins the likes of Florida State, Georgia, Texas Tech and others with offers on the table. The Tigers are the early On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

The Bengal Tiger’s Shea Dixon shared how Martinez stood out a this summer’s offensive line/defensive line camp in Baton Rouge.

“Martinez has been creating buzz around the Baton Rouge area over the past six months thanks to his freshman year on the offensive line at East Ascension,” Dixon wrote. “The 6-foot-6 prospect worked with the top group on the offensive line and showed clear promise – and a frame that will allow him to continue to grow into a college-ready offensive tackle. Florida State and Texas Tech offers are in, and many more will come over his final three years at East Ascension.”
