Nightly Recruiting Briefing: Michigan State offers 2025 RB Jamarion Marrow
In tonight’s Nightly Recruiting Briefing we will discuss the latest Michigan State offer in the class of 2025. We will also discuss other Spartan recruiting notes.
Spartans offer 2025 RB Jamarion Marrow
Michigan State offered class of 2025 running back Jamarion Marrow of Germantown (TN) High School on August 30. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound back is currently ranked a four-star, the No. 102 overall recruit in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings. He also ranks the No. 10 running back and the No. 5 recruit in Tennessee. On3 is a little higher on the four-star, ranking Marrow the No. 51 overall recruit and the No. 3 running back.
He was offered by Michigan State running backs coach Effrem Reed. Marrow holds other offers from Alabama, Oregon, Tennessee, Miami, and others. He visited Alabama in June.
Jason’s take:
Michigan State and Effrem Reed have offered 14 running backs in the class of 2025 so far. The Spartans landed 2024 four-star Anthony Carrie of Tampa (FL) Carrollwood Day High School in June, while they continue to pursue four-star Jason Brown of Seattle (WA) in the 2024 class. Landing Carrie has allowed Reed to narrow his focus on Brown and the class of 2025. Brown will decide in the coming month between Michigan State, Oregon, and Washington.
The Spartans did not host any 2025 backs over the summer. The board is wide open as offers continue to be extended. Michigan State has previously been mentioned as a possible visit for Cleveland (OH) four-star Bo Jackson, as his recruitment will be extremely competitive. The Spartans have also offered a pair of Maryland backs in four-star Iverson Howard and three-star Bud Coombs. Penn State, Maryland, and others are active in both recruitments.
