On300 LB Keylan Moses on Florida Gators: ‘They want me real, real bad’

It’s safe to say four-star linebacker Keylan Moses is a major priority for the University of Florida.

Moses, a 2025 recruit and the brother of former Alabama star linebacker Dylan Moses, was offered by the Gators a number of months ago and has already visited three times. Two of those trips to Gainesville took place this calendar year.

Now, the Baton Rouge (La.) University Lab standout is really strengthening his relationship with Billy Napier’s staff. Among those who have been going all in for Moses since Aug. 1 are secondary coach Corey Raymond and inside linebackers coach Jay Bateman.

In fact, according to Moses, UF is the school recruiting him the hardest this summer.

“Coach Bateman and Coach Raymond have been getting at me and they want me real, real bad,” Moses told On3’s Sam Spiegelman. “Honestly, they’ve been letting me know I’m the No. 1 guy on their board and they want me real, real bad, and I appreciate that.

“How many times I’ve been out there, every trip was worth it. Those nine hours — it was a hectic drive, but definitely worth it. I loved every minute out there. I love coach Bateman as a person and how he loves his players. He shows a ton of commitment to his players and everything. I love everything out there.”

Moses is attacking the recruiting process one day at a time

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, the 6-foot-1.5, 215-pound Moses is the No. 15-ranked linebacker and No. 160-ranked prospect regardless of position.

In addition to the Gators, the blue-chip defender possesses offers from Alabama, LSU, Oregon, Texas, Tennessee, Auburn, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Florida State and South Carolina among others.

The hometown Tigers, according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, are trending heavily with odds north of 95 percent.

“I’ve been handling it pretty well and things have been going pretty well. It hasn’t been too stressful,” Moses told Spiegelman. “Coaches are calling me late at night and wake me up in the morning, but honestly I appreciate it … I appreciate the opportunities they’re giving me and that they believe in me.”
