On3 four-star Terry Bussey recaps his recruitment before decision

2024 Timpson (Texas) athlete Terry Bussey is almost ready. The 5-foot-10.5, 180-pound On3 four-star has an announcement date set for September 28th.

The East Texas product will decide between Texas, LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M. Even though he’s unable to play at the moment after offseason surgery, he’s still helping coach the Tigers and has visits scheduled for the month of September.

“Overall, just enjoying the process and trying to take it all in and dig in-depth and see where God leads me in a couple weeks,” Bussey told Inside Texas.

Even though he doesn’t have a trip set in stone, the On3 No. 2-rated athlete is still connecting with the Texas staff, namely Steve Sarkisian and Chris Jackson.

“(Texas) is building a great class and have been building great classes over the last few years,” Bussey told Inside Texas. “What they got goi9ngon right now (at wide receiver) is a great scheme for me. They love the way I play football, and the relationships they’re building is really keeping them in it.”

Texas A&M leads the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine and Bussey mentioned he might take his official visit to College Station in October. He’s also building with a few of the Aggies 2024 commits.

“We’ve got a strong relationship, everybody knows that,” Bussey said. “Overall, just checking up on each other every day and what not. They’re still building on that relationship that we already have. Him (Tyanthony Smith), Dre’lon (Miller), Daelyn (Evans) and them (are recruiting me).”

LSU is supposed to host Bussey for the Arkansas game only days before his decision as well.

“LSU, we’ve been building a strong relationship over the past couple weeks and past month or two, just building a relationship,” Bussey said. “Just getting to know each other more and seeing how I fit in their program and their scheme.”

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, Bussey ranks as the No. 19 overall prospect in the country, No. 2 athlete in the nation and No. 5 prospect in Texas.
