Report: Florida to practice in Dallas for Week 1 due to Tropical Storm Idalia

Florida may have their opening game of the 2023 season on the road but weather is still affecting the team. Tropical Storm Idalia is heading the Gators’ way, reportedly forcing Billy Napier‘s squad to leave the state a couple of days early.

According to Kevin Brockway of the Gainesville Sun, Florida is taking off for Dallas, TX on Tuesday in order to miss any bad weather. A practice will occur in the Lone State State before flying into Salt Lake City the following day.

The Utah Utes will be at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Thursday night, ready for what should be an incredible Week 1 opener.

“Florida football has adjusted travel for game at No. 14 Utah due to Tropical Storm Idalia, per team source, #Gators will travel to Dallas, Texas on Tuesday, practice there, then fly to Salt Lake City on Wednesday,” Brockway said via Twitter.
