2025 Goodland athlete Linkon Cure schedules Kansas State visit
The Summer was busy for Goodland athlete Linkon Cure. After not having any offers, the rising junior was extended scholarships from Kansas State, Iowa State, Missouri and Kansas all within a span of two weeks during the month of June.
Game day visits are next up for the western Kansan, and he already has one visit scheduled for the Fall.
“The only game I have scheduled so far is to K-State, but a lot more colleges have invited me and I’ll just have to figure out when it works with my schedule,” Cure said.
Cure will be at Kansas State for the SEMO game on September 2. It is the third visit he will have taken to The Little Apple since June. Growing up a fan of the Wildcats, he is looking forward to seeing Manhattan once again.
“I’m really looking forward to just being at a game,” he explained. “It’s been a pretty long time since I’ve been at one. The whole experience will be a lot of fun.”
There are a few things K-State has done thus far to impress the Kansas native.
“They have just simply done the most by far,” Cure admitted. “They have met the most with me in person and that has meant a lot. They also call the most, which means a lot. Overall, the communication and relationships I have with them have really impressed me.”
“Kansas State has sent me a lot of handwritten letters and messages,” he added. “I’ve had calls with Taylor [Braet], Coach [Brian] Lepak, [Collin] Klein, [Chris] Klieman and [Josh] Buford.”
A few schools have jumped out to the front of his recruitment thus far, and it’s not just the Wildcats.
“K-State, KU and Iowa State are standing out to me so far,” Cure opined. “They have communicated the most and treated me the best.”
The Wildcats are in a very promising spot, which should come as no surprise.
“We get along very well,” Cure pointed out. ” Both ends ask questions about each other and it turns out to be a very good conversation every time. I can tell they really do care.”
Cure is also thinking about visiting the Jayhawks and Cyclones, along with Missouri and Nebraska this Fall.
