On3 2026 Ole Miss football prospect watch list

On3 2026 Ole Miss football prospect watch list

As the 2024 class starts to prepare for the start of their senior years, Ole Miss football is also starting to look towards the future. 2024 and 2025 prospects have been on campus a lot the past month but there are some notable 2026 prospects out there as well who are on the staff’s radar already.

Each prospect is listed with their position, On3 grade, hometown, high school and commitment status if applicable.

The rating scale is as follows: Five-star prospects have grades 98-100, four-star recruits have grades 90-97, while 80-89 grades are for three-stars.

Let’s take a look at who they are.

No. 4 – QB Jared Curtis, Nashville (Tenn.) Nashville Christian School

As a freshman in 2022, the 6-foot-3, 197 pound signal caller announced his arrival by throwing for 2,285 yards, 27 touchdowns to just eight interceptions. He also ran 481 yards and seven more touchdowns. Since he popped up on the radar, Curtis has become one of the top signal callers in the country. He visited for Juice Fest 23 and within an hour of stepping foot into the newly-renovated Manning Center, head coach Lane Kiffin and offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. extended an offer.

So far he has been to Alabama, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Vanderbilt, Pitt, Arkansas, Tennessee, Clemson, Kentucky and LSU.

No. 7 – DL JaReylan McCoy, Tupelo (Miss.) High

The highest-ranked Mississippi recruit in On3’s initial 2026 watchlist is from just up the road from Oxford, Miss. McCoy is already defensive coordinator Pete Golding‘s guy for the 2026 cycle, per a source. LSU and defensive line coach Jimmy Lindsey are also in pursuit early. Mississippi State, South Carolina, Penn State, Tennessee, Auburn and Kentucky, among others, have also extended offers early.

No. 48 – WR Xavier McDonald, Morton (Miss.) High

Ole Miss, LSU and Penn State are the early, big-time offers for the in-state target. The 6-foot-3, 160 pound prospect has already played for the varsity team at Morton for two years, starting in eighth grade. So far, McDonald has made 78 receptions for 1,609 yards and 18 touchdowns. Coordinator of recruiting strategy Kelvin Bolden is heavily involved here and he has been a recruiting dynamo inside the state of Mississippi.

No. 56 – Bralan Womack, Brandon (Miss.) Hartfield Academy

Ole Miss has an early lead for the in-state prospect but Georgia and Tennessee are coming on strong. Golding and cornerbacks coach Keynodo Hudson are heading this one up and will do battle against the two SEC East opponents. The 6-foot-2, 190 pound recruit is already making an impact at Hartfield Academy in the secondary and his recruitment is seemingly about to take off.

WR O’Mari Johnson, Wesson (Miss.) Wesson Attendance Center

Ole Miss offered Johnson in January after a phenomenal 2022 season. At 6-foot, 170 pounds, Johnson had a big freshman campaign, hauling in 60 receptions for 1,026 yards. He also compiled 2,207 all-purpose yards and 24 total touchdowns for Wesson Attendance Center last year. He also trains with former Ole Miss receivers Mike Espy and Shay Hodge at MESH Academy in Jackson, Miss.

Johnson also holds early offers from South Carolina, Mississippi State and Penn State. Alabama and LSU are also showing a considerable amount of interest.

WR Jase Mathews, Leakesville (Miss.) Greene County

Mathews received an offer earlier this summer from Derrick Nix and Patrick Carter. He arrived in Oxford in July for Juice Fest 23 and camped in front of the rest of the staff and impressed. As a freshman, he made 25 catches for 484 yards and two touchdowns. He finished with 673 all-purpose yards. The Rebels are the early favorite but his recruitment is just getting started.
