2026 Miami commit Ksani Jiles feeling at home with the Hurricanes

On May 22, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Ksani Jiles became Miami’s first commit of the 2026 class, and ever since the California native has continued to strengthen and develop his bond with the Hurricanes staff.
Although Jiles has three seasons remaining in high school before he can officially become a Cane, the 2026 prospect already feels at home in Coral Gables.
“When I’m in Coral Gables, it’s just all love,” Jiles told CaneSport. “When you walk on campus, all the fans are welcoming and come talk to you. I just love the atmosphere there.
Following his first visit to Miami on May 20, the 6-foot, 170-pound defensive back was so blown away with what he saw and how he felt on the trip that he decided to make things official with the Hurricanes just two days later. With his mom by his side during the unofficial visit, they both believed Miami was the perfect school for him.
“Coach DTrain (Dennis Smith) pursued me very well, and when I went down there with my mom, I just loved the atmosphere, and they treated me like I was on the team already,” Jiles said. “That’s really why I wanted to lock it in. Another reason is that when I went down with Ellis Robinson, how they treated us was like we were already family, so that’s really why I loved it.”
Thus far, Jiles has built the strongest relationship with Hurricanes defensive backs coach Jahmile Addae.
“I look at him like one of the best cornerback coaches in college football,” Jiles said. “I really want to play under him.”
Throughout his recruitment, Miami’s staff has relayed a strong message to Jiles that has resonated with him since the beginning.
“The main message has been me being the face of the 2026 class,” Jiles said. “I’m looking for more of my friends and associates to come with me and be a part of the team.”
CaneSport’s take
The IMG product is one of many Ascender prospects the Hurricanes have their eyes on, and seeing him jump on board so early is a good sign for Miami, which hopes to strengthen its pipeline to the national powerhouse after finding success in the 2023 class.
“Francis (Mauigoa), Antonio (Tripp), Jayden (Wayne), and Riley (Williams) are all like my big brothers,” Jiles said. “They were a big part of me going there (Miami). I just know I got family from IMG.”
