Texas opens at No. 12 in Preseason USA Today Coaches Top 25 poll released for 2023

With college football right around the corner, the first coaches top 25 poll was released ahead of the 2023 season. And Texas opens at No. 12.
Texas is coming off a 8-5 season and a loss against Washington in the Alamo Bowl. Texas was chosen to win the Big 12 by the media last month, the first time since 2009.
With returning starters Quinn Ewers, Kelvin Banks, Xavier Worthy, Jaylan Ford, and Jahdae Barron, the Longhorns are looking to return to the Big 12 Championship from AT&T Stadium for the first time since 2018.
