NASCAR postpones FireKeepers Casino 400 due to rain

Just when we thought we would see the FireKeepers Casino 400 run without issue, the rain had to return to the NASCAR track. Michigan is being stubborn. The rain comes and then goes. NASCAR pushed the race time up and got the track dry, but about 72 laps into the race, things came to a halt again.
The rain just won’t stop in Brooklyn, Michigan. NASCAR had the track dried off and now they have lost it due to weather. That means more drying will have to take place before this race gets going again. And that won’t happen until tomorrow.
With too much rain in the area and no lights at the track, NASCAR is moving this race to Monday. Another weather-delayed weekend on the season. The race will resume on Monday at Noon.
The decision to postpone the race came down to continuing rain and the fact there are no lights at Michigan.
