Texas Longhorns Best Class Scenario: August 3rd edition
The Texas Longhorns have taken the field in year three of the Steve Sarkisian era. And while that is garnering the majority of attention, recruiting also remains at the forefront with a number of huge decisions expected in August.
The nations No. 1 ranked EDGE prospect Colin Simmons released his commitment date Wednesday. The Duncanville High 5-star will announce out of Texas and LSU August 10.
Another 5-star expected to announce a decision this month is defensive lineman Dominick McKinley. The Longhorns are right there with a chance to once again win out for one of Louisiana’s top prospects. Another Pelican State top prospect likely to decide this month is 4-star cornerback Wardell Mack.
