Rusty’s Ramblings: Georgia pledge shines in camp setting, upcoming decisions

Georgia has had prospects on campus this week and that continues to be the case for the weekend. DawgsHQ has the latest on where the Bulldogs stand on the recruiting trail and some notes from the camp held in Athens on Friday.
I mentioned it on The Dawg Walk yesterday but sounds like Ryan Puglisi put on a show during the camp session on Friday. I was told he had a great throwing session and that shouldn’t surprise anyone. I think the deal with him is that so few have seen film and even fewer in person that when they get to see the ball come out of his hands, they are blown away. Remember what former Director of Player Personnel Matt Godwin said about Puglisi. He told DawgsHQ on Bark After Dark that the only other guy he has seen throw the football like Puglisi is Caleb Williams.
There are a lot of questions on Peyton Woodyard and him removing UGA stuff from his socials. He has taken a lot of visits elsewhere during the last year as well. USC and Alabama are two teams pushing hard for him still. This is obviously something to watch over the next few weeks.
I’m told that another quarterback, 2026 prospect Romin Seymour from Houston, had a really good day at Georgia on Friday. His father Roland, played at FSU in the late 90’s, so there are ties there as well. I saw him at FBU Top Gun camp in Naples earlier this month. He was really good in a 6-foot-5 frame.Top linebacker target Kris Jones is set to make his decision on Sunday and I have liked Georgia here for a while. UGA co-defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann went up to Virginia twice this spring to see him in person. Jones came to work out in front of the staff as well.
