2025 Mater Dei four-star Jordon Davison RB returns to Texas

For 2025 Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei running back Jordon Davison, seeing Austin again was a must.
“It was great,” said Davison. “It was very excited to get to sit down with Coach (Tashard) Choice and talk ball.”
The 5-foot-11, 210-pound On3 four-star running back took a unofficial trip during the spring and really hit it off with the Texas staff and coach Choice. On Tuesday, he returned with Mater Dei teammates Marcus Harris, Shaun Scott, Daryus Dixon, and Kayden Dixon-Wyatt. Of note; Scott picked up a Texas offer today.
What is it about Texas, coach Choice that keeps them close to Davison?
“The culture and the environment,” Davison told IT. “What they have going on over there, they are trending in the right direction for sure.”
What stood out the most about his latest visit to Texas?
“Most definitely sitting down and breaking down my film with Coach Choice,” Davison told Inside Texas.
Davison holds 20+ offers including USC, Georgia, Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, Michigan, and UCLA. He’ll see Norman on Wednesday to check out the Oklahoma Sooners. He’s connecting early with the Sooners staff, especially running backs coach Demarco Murray.
“My interest in Oklahoma is up there with the others now,” Davison told On3. “They most definitely made a big first impression. They lost the game, but it was still a good trip.”
The Longhorns recently gained commitments from 2024 On3 four-stars Jerrick Gibson and Christian Clark. Now, the Texas staff is focusing on the 2025 class, where it appears the Horns could take two for the next cycle.
Davison is the No. 38 overall prospect and No. 3 running back in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major media companies. He is also the No. 4 player in California.
