Nightly Recruiting Briefing: Michigan State mid-summer visitor updates

In tonight’s Michigan State Nightly Recruiting Briefing we will discuss a commitment and his return to campus. We will also discuss a potential 2025 target scheduling a visit.
Anthony Carrie announces return
Michigan State four-star running back commitment Anthony Carrie, of Tampa (FL) Carrollwood Day, announced his return to East Lansing via social media on July 19. SpartanMag.com had previously reported the visit, as Carrie followed it up with more Spartan social media love.
Carrie will join a majority of his 2024 Michigan State class members, including four-star wide receiver Nick Marsh, four-star offensive lineman Andrew Dennis, and others. The four-star Florida running back is also expected to be joined by four-star high school teammate Bredell Richardson. The wide receiver will be making his first Michigan State visit, already including the Spartans in his top four alongside Michigan, Oregon, and LSU. You can find the full SpartanDawg Con visitor list here.
2025 OL looking into visit
Michigan State and associate head coach/run game coordinator/offensive line coach Chis Kapilovic have begun to show interest in class of 2025 lineman Peter Langi, of San Fransisco (CA) Archbishop Riordan, Lang tells SpartanMag.com. The 6-foot-7 tackle holds offers from Southern California, Washington, Utah, Arizona, and more.
The Spartans and Langi are currently working together to figure out a visit date.
“Coach (Jay) Johnson came out to see me and we are trying to set something up so I can come out there,” Langi said. “I am working on getting it before the season starts, I am just not sure on the exact date.”
Langi will visit Oregon and Georgia at the end of July. He is not yet ranked by the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings.
