Elite offensive lineman on Gators offer: ‘It’s for sure one of the top ones’

Throughout the month of May, the Gators journeyed out to a plethora of schools for the spring evaluation period. Since then, they have hosted dozens upon dozens for camps and official visits.

One of those prospects who landed an offer during that span is offensive lineman Justin Hasenhuetl. Florida delivered that pleasant news on May 9 and then hosted the 2025 prospect for a camp roughly a month later.

A native of Germany who is now a boarding student at Rabun Gap (Ga.) Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, the 6-foot-5, 270-pound Hasenhuetl is the No. 2-ranked interior offensive lineman in his class. He is also the 101st-ranked prospect overall. That is all according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

“I know they have some of the sickest stuff, like, the jerseys and the heart they got. They also have one of the nicest facilities. I have not seen a lot yet, but I can tell they are not lying,” Hasenhuetl told Gators Online.

In a perfect world, Hasenhuetl would love to attend UF’s Grill in the Ville cookout on the 29th; however, that event unfortunately does not fit into his summer schedule.

With Hasenhuetl being a boarding student, it can be quite difficult to visit colleges. The official visit process will likely be heavily relied upon before making a final decision.

“I also just spoke with (assistant defensive line) coach (Kali) James. He really wanted to tell me they want me and that I should come at the end of July. I wish I could, but I can’t make it,” said Hasenhuetl.

The Gators are a legitimate contender for Hasenhuetl

Although he has made the trip to Gainesville in the past, Hasenhuetl has not seen much of UF’s campus or the facilities. The majority of last month’s experience was for the camp, and once that was over, he had just a short amount of time before having to return home.

However, that does not mean Florida is not a strong option for the On300 prospect early on.

“It’s for sure one of the top ones,” Hasenhuetl said of his offer from UF. “As soon as I know more about the team and facilities and all that, I will make some decisions.

“I hope (to visit) as soon as possible. It’s just a little far away from home or from school.”

In addition to the Gators, Hasenhuetl possesses offers from Clemson, USC, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida State, Penn State and Auburn among others.

Dabo Swinney and the Tigers, according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, are trending with odds of 33.5 percent.
