Nebraska IOL commit Gibson Pyle earns All-American invitation following Top Gun performance

Nebraska commitment Gibson Pyle from Klein (Texas) Cain showed out this weekend at the Football University Top Gun camp. Pyle said there were roughly 2,000 kids in attendance from 2024s to 2028s and about 500-600 kids from the 2024 class participating in the camp. Pyle had a great weekend and, at the end of the camp, was one of five 2024 recruits invited to the All-American Bowl on January 6th in San Antonio.

The invitation to the All-American game is a dream come true for Gibson Pyle. The 6-foot-4.5 and 275-pound lineman remembers watching the game when he was younger and calling his shot that he would play in the game one day.

“This means everything to me,” Pyle said. “I can remember watching the game in middle school and I told my dad that I wanted to play in that game.

“I reached out to them because I was determined to be part of it. They told me to come out to the FBU Top Gun camp and earn it. That’s what I did.”

Nebraska commit Gibson Pyle received All-American invitation at conclusion of FBU camp

Pyle has played offensive tackle mainly for Klein (Texas) Cain but will be moving inside to guard, where he plans to play at Nebraska. He worked out this weekend mainly at the guard position as well.

“I got the invitation after that camp after we went best on best,” Pyle said. “Just five players received an invitation after the camp. I had to work against all sorts of other players: bigger, faster, more athletic, and I did well.”

Pyle is the second player in the 2024 class for Nebraska to receive an invitation to the All-American game. Fellow future Husker Carter Nelson, a tight end from Ainsworth (Neb.), picked up an invitation for the game in May.
