4-star WR Dre’lon Miller is high on LSU after latest visit
2024 four-star Silsbee (Tex.) wide receiver Dre’lon Miller is fresh off another LSU visit earlier this month, getting to watch spring practice with the Tigers.
“It was amazing,” Miller told On3. “I liked the atmosphere, it wasn’t even a game day and the place was still electric.”
LSU head coach Brian Kelly, wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton and analyst Carter Sheridan all are playing a big role in his recruitment, Miller said.
“They told me how they want me to be a part of their offense and how they could use me,” Miller said. “I like the way he (Kelly) coaches and how close he is with all his players. He (Hankton) is the best ever. Him and my dad have a great relationship. I like the way he coaches and develops his wide receivers.”
Miller got closer with cornerback Denver Harris, linebacker Harold Perkins and quarterback Jayden Daniels. LSU’s putting the full court press on from the football and now basketball side as well.
“I also enjoyed getting closer with the players,” he added in an interview with On3’s Sam Spiegelman. “They were just telling me that there’s no better place to be, especially on Saturday night.”
Miller checks in as the No. 75 overall player in the country and No. 15 wide receiver in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. LSU leads the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine over Texas A&M, where he visited multiple times this spring as well. He visited USC over the weekend as well.
