4-star safety Ladarian Clardy zeroing in on commitment
Escambia (Fla.) safety Ladarian Clardy announced his Top 10 Saturday. The four-star prospect named Colorado, Michigan, Georgia, Miami, Mississippi State, Washington, UCF, Ole Miss, Florida State and Florida his finalists. But, for the last few months, it’s been a three-team race.
Clardy has seemingly been focused on Florida State, Mississippi State and Ole Miss since June. The Rebels hosted the 5-foot-11, 165 pound recruit last month for an official visit. His entire family attended the trip to Oxford, Miss., with him. His parents both said they “loved it”.
Since then, the vibes have all turned up red and blue.

Florida State has a lot of what Clardy is looking for.
On3’s Chad Simmons talked with him earlier this summer about what it is the Seminoles have.
“Their message to me was that I’m a priority,” Clardy said. “They talked about how they could develop me on and the field to help me achieve my goal in the next three years.”
Clardy has visited Florida State around half a dozen times now. He has had a good time each visit and this official visit was no different.
“The biggest highlights for me were the meetings with the coaches, going to coach Norvell’s house to hang out and the cooking event where I was able to bond with the other recruits,” Clardy said.
Florida State’s been the leader for most of the summer, but the recruitment being spearheaded by Pete Golding, Wes Neighbors, Bryan Brown and Kevin Smith has put a dent in FSU’s lead. I like for the Rebs to pull off the upset. In fact, I entered my RPM pick in.
