4-star safety Cortez Redding names top eight schools

Jonesboro (Ga.) four-star safety Cortez Redding has amassed more than two dozen offers, but he’s now down to a select group of eight schools.

On Friday, Redding announced that Florida, Auburn, Indiana, Florida State, NC State, Miami, LSU and Ole Miss are the remaining contenders on his list.

The 6-foot, 170-pounder is the No. 181 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 15 safety and the No. 23 recruit in the Peach State.
