4-star RB Anthony Carrie announces top six schools

Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day four-star running back Anthony Carrie has announced his top six schools. They are Michigan State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and South Carolina.

“These schools made the list because can see myself at them,” Carrie told On3. “I can come in and make an immediate impact at these schools.”

The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder visited the Tar Heels at the beginning of the month (March 4) and his most recent visit was to Michigan State (March 24). He will also take an unofficial visit to Oklahoma on April 22.

Carrie will take all five official visits over the summer. He will visit Notre Dame on the weekend of June 10 and North Carolina the following weekend. Those are the only official visits locked in at this time.

“The next step for me is getting the official visits set up,” said Carrie, the No. 237 overall prospect and No. 17 running back in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. “I have two set up now and I plan to get all five scheduled soon. Then I will try to make a decision.

“This is my final cut, and by the end of the summer, I will be committing to one of these six schools.”

Carrie breaks down his top six schools

Michigan State: “I have visited Michigan State twice and it feels like family there. It is somewhere I could see myself going. They had Kenneth Walker III, so they showed what they can do with great backs. It feels like home and family.”

North Carolina: “I like their production with running backs. They put guys in the NFL. I also like the area.”

Notre Dame: “My official visit will be my first time there. Their academics paired up with the football culture stands out. I like how they use and rotate their backs. It allows them to be productive.”

Oklahoma: “April 22 will be my first visit there. They recruit me heavily. I like their running back production and I want to see the vibe and the energy on this visit. They need guys to come in and make an impact, so I like the chance to play early there.”

Ole Miss: “What they did with their running backs this past season really caught my attention. Those backs weren’t getting touched until the second or third level, which really showed me something. It is a place I want to see.”

South Carolina: “I have already visited twice and it is a place I like. They have been consistent with me and they have shown me they can use me. It feels like family to me there.”
