4-star QB Jett Thomalla names top five schools

Omaha (Neb.) Millard South four-star quarterback Jett Thomalla announced on Wednesday evening that five schools are at the top of his recruitment.
Arizona, Duke, Iowa State, Missouri and Virginia Tech are the finalists for the 6-foot-5, 195-pounder.
Thomalla is the No. 286 overall prospect and No. 19 QB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked player in Nebraska.
On3 ranks him higher than other recruiting services. He checks in as the No. 196 recruit and No. 14 QB in the updated 2026 On300.
Thomalla is coming off a big junior season for Millard South where he threw for 3,664 yards and 47 touchdowns to just three interceptions. A coveted signal-caller out of the Midwest, Thomalla continues to work through his process and is coming off a great visit to Mizzou earlier this month.
“The visit was really fun,” Thomalla told On3’s Steve Wiltfong about his time in Columbia. “Right when I got there at 9:15 I had a meeting with Coach Drink and my parents. Kind of showed me how much of a priority I was for them and they kept showing me that throughout the day.”
