4-star LB Jordan Burns finds ‘dream school’ with commitment to Vols

Tennessee has landed the commitment of 2024 four-star linebacker Jordan Burns over Arkansas and Vanderbilt. The Pace Academy (Ga.) standout linebacker just announced his decision moments ago.
“I love everything about them,” Burns said of his decision to choose Tennessee. “I love everything about the players and everything they have going. I feel like I have built a great relationship with the staff and I feel like they can get me where I want to go. This has been my dream school. This is a blessing.”
This weekend’s official visit sealed the deal for Burns, as he had felt like Tennessee was the place for him for several months.
“It was one of the best visits I have been on and I think that sealed the deal for me,” Burns said. “It made see that there was no reason to wait. I can get everything I want from Tennessee on the field and I can get the degree in Engineering I want as well.”
Tennessee Linebackers Coach Brian Jean-Mary was huge in the process as well, but the entire coaching staff made Burns feel like he was at home.
“He played a big role for me,” Burns said. “He is a great coach. I can see what he can do for me in developing me from the type of linebacker he has coached before. I fit well into what he has going on. Coach BJ, Coach Harbin, Coach Heup, Coach Banks, everybody apart of this staff is pretty much what I need and what I love.”
Now that he is committed, he plans to put his nose to the grindstone and work every day to become the best player he can be in Knoxville.
A hard worker and a dedicated player,” Burns said of this. “Someone that is going to be a leader and that is not afraid to get in there and lead guys and do things the right way.”
Burns is already working as a peer recruiter, and he wants another four-star linebacker to join him in the class.
“Ed is who I am going to go after,” Burns said of this. “Edwin Spillman is the guy I want the most.
