4-star LB Chris Cole planning for USC mid-season official visit
Class of 2024 Salem (Va.) four-star linebacker Chris Cole has had quite a busy recruitment to this time.
To date, Cole has visited 16 schools all across the country for a total of 36 visits. Today, Cole made his first unofficial visit to USC.
Cole is the No. 159 overall prospect and No. 17 linebacker in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 2 player in Virginia.
A new visit on the horizon
The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder has four officials in the month of June: Penn State (June 2), Virginia Tech (June 9), Georgia(June 16) and Miami (June 23).
WeAreSC’s Scott Schrader was able to speak with Cole today, and he learned Cole is planning to return to USC for an official visit, however it will come during the season.
A mid-season visit makes sense at this point given that he already has his month of June filled up and he has now the ability to see a game environment in Los Angeles.
On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound backer holds 27 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Virginia Tech currently has the lead to land a commitment from Cole at 29.6%. Penn State and Georgia are not far behind.

Cole has an On3 NIL Valuation of $74K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
