4-Star IOL Eddy Pierre-Louis is closing in on a decision

Official visits to Oklahoma and UCF have been taken. That may be it for Eddy Pierre-Louis. The four-star interior offensive lineman out of Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Catholic named Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas A&M along with the Sooners and Knights early in June.

There could be one more cut coming, or a commitment could be next.

“I am either going to release my commitment or release a top four or five here very soon,” Pierre-Louis told On3. “I am still taking my time with everything, but I think I am getting close to committing. Rushing things is not what I want to do, but I could commit soon or wait until late in the summer. It is coming though.”

He knows what he is looking for in a school.

“It is about that family feeling for me. I also want to like the play. With or without football, I want to be happy where I go live. Then it will be about the coaches. I want to play for guys that work me hard and coach hard, but love me at the same time.”

Four schools have emerged for Pierre-Louis

The No. 255 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking named Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon and UCF as the schools he is talking the most to. Those aren’t officially the finalist, but Pierre-Louis is high on that quartet.

“The relationships I have with people at those schools make them stand out. I like how they recruit me, my connections are strong with coaches there and I can see these schools being in it to the end with me.”

The official visits to Norman and Orlando went very well. Each made a strong impression.

“Both visits went great. With UCF, I like the people there a lot. Coach Gus Malzahn is getting good players, he is taking his program to the Big 12 and I like what UCF is doing as a program.

“Oklahoma was my dream school. Coach Bill Bedenbaugh puts guys into the NFL, and that is my dream, so those things and the people at Oklahoma stand out.”

Miami is a school Pierre-Louis has visited numerous times and he is familiar with many in Coral Gables. He had a good unofficial visit to Oregon too and the Ducks have been recruiting him since his freshman year.
