4-star DL Dominic Kirks locks in commitment date

Four-star defensive line prospect Dominic Kirks has wrapped up his official visits and is ready to make a decision. The Cleveland (Ohio) Villa Angela-St. Joseph product is ready to put an end to his recruitment.

On Wednesday night, Kirks announced that he will be making his commitment on Friday, June 30. We are a little over a week away from the No. 14 overall player in Ohio making his college decision.

Kentucky emerged as a player in this recruitment in the spring and was scheduled to get Dominic Kirks on campus for an official visit in June. However, the No. 386 ranked player in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking canceled that visit to make a trip to Wisconsin. An official visit was never rescheduled with Kentucky.

Kirks also took official visit trips to Pittsburgh and Washington this month. Nebraska joined Kentucky as schools in the top five that did not receive an official visit. We will know the final answer soon.

The Wildcats currently have zero defensive line commits in the 2024 recruiting haul, and it’s unclear where any could come from at the moment. Kentucky enters the year with 12 scholarship players for position coach Anwar Stewart, and each has multiple years of eligibility remaining.
