4-star DB Jalewis Solomon arrives in Auburn for unofficial visit

Just when it seemed visits were over for the summer at Auburn, there is now another visitor in town, and it is his second trip in the span of a week. Jalewis Solomon, a 4-star athlete from Ellaville (Ga.) Schley County, is currently on an official visit to Auburn.
The details of the visit and how long it will last are not yet known.
Solomon is the No. 225 overall player in the country, the No. 10 athlete, and the No. 30 player in the state of Georgia according to the On3 Industry Ranking.
He is listed as an athlete and plays both offense and defense, but the Tigers are said to like him on the defensive side of the ball, most notably at corner.
Solomon is the younger brother of current Auburn defensive lineman Zykeivous Walker. While that helps Auburn, it is thought that a key factor in this recruitment is his relationship with Wesley McGriff, Auburn’s corner backs coach.
Solomon, according to sources, has been thought to be a Florida State lean. Auburn corners coach McGriff has kept a relationship, however, and hit it off with him while Solomon was in Auburn for 7-on-7 camp late last week.
The Tigers are, at the very least, in this recruitment.
Two strengths
As a receiver, Solomon is best after the catch. He can advance the ball and make people miss. He is also a tough and physical player to bring down as a ball carrier.
As a safety, Solomon is an extremely physical tackler. He’s also physical in playing man coverage. He lacks long speed at times, but plays great in short area burst situations.
One area for improvement
Solomon might have a higher ceiling as a safety in college. He can hit, he can cover pretty well, and he has a nose for tracking the ball. He is a dynamic athlete, but more smooth on defense.
