4-star 2025 IOL Justin Hasenhuetl lands Miami offer, hopes to visit campus ASAP

Raburn Gap (Ga.) Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School four-star 2025 offensive lineman Justin Hasenhuetl picked up his Miami offer in late July, but unlike most recruits, he isn’t totally certain what position the Hurricanes hope he would play.
Hasenhuetl is the No. 2 offensive lineman in the 2025 class and No. 101 overall prospect, but Miami offensive line coach Alex Mirabal talked to the 6-foot-5, 270-pound prospect as a tight end when they jumped on the phone during the final week of July. Hasenhuetl said he’d be willing to play wherever a program wants him, even if that means potentially “being the biggest tight end out there.”
“I’m not sure (where Miami wants me to play),” Hasenhuetl said. “He was talking, and he is the O-line coach, but he was talking about me as a receiver, asking if I could handle myself as a receiver, and I was like, ‘Oh, no. I don’t have the skills or feet for that, but then we talked about O-line.”
Hasenhuetl’s speed and athleticism quickly nabbed Mirabal’s attention, and Hasenhuetl has healthy interest in the Hurricanes. He’s far from narrowing down his offer list of more than 20 schools including Clemson, Florida State, Penn State and Tennessee, but he knows Miami has a place.
“The U has always been there,” Hasenhuetl said. “I’m not making any decisions on my offer list because I’m waiting a little bit, and I’ve gotta sit down and look over everything, but The U is up there for sure. I can tell you that right now.”
Hasenhuetl knows little about Miami besides the school’s football history and “that they have a nice beach,” he said with a chuckle. He wants to visit Miami soon and said he’d like to hitch a ride if any of his teammates make the trip south.
“If any of my teammates were (hypothetically) going next week, I’d go next week,” Hasenhuetl said.
He said UCF and NC State have made the strongest recruiting efforts thus far, and he hadn’t communicated with the Hurricanes before receiving his offer. He added a school’s academic standing will play a factor in his decision but isn’t close to narrowing down his offer list.
CaneSport’s Take
The prospect of a 6-foot-5, 270-pound tight end is plenty intriguing, but we’ll refer to Hasenhuetl as an offensive lineman until told otherwise. Yes, he’s plenty quick and athletic and had an impressive catch-and-run on a tackle screen, but his tape suggests he’s far more skilled at his natural offensive line position than as an in-line pass catcher or H-back. Still, it will be interesting to see where Miami ultimately views him at and if other programs consider recruiting him at different positions.
