3-star TE Jordan Washington commits to Texas

After Langham Creek (Houston, Texas) three-star tight end Jordan Washington received an offer from Texas in May, he told On3 that the Longhorns were his “childhood school.”
Now, he is committed to the Texas Longhorns. He chose the Longhorns over Texas A&M, Arizona State and UTSA.
Washington is the No. 465 overall prospect and No. 29 tight end in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 82 player in Texas.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound tight end took his official visit to Texas in mid-June. It was his fourth and final official visit of the month, following trips to Texas A&M, Arizona State and UTSA.

Washington currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $21K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Texas continues hot streak
Steve Sarkisian’s staff has continued its blazing run on the recruiting trail through June and July. Six of Texas’ now 12 commitments came in the month of June, with three more coming on July 1. IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) four-star safety Jordon Johnson-Rubell committed to the Longhorns on the first of this month alongside Lovejoy (Lucas, Texas) four-star wide receiver Parker Livingstone and Duncanville (Texas) three-star defensive lineman Alex January.
The Longhorns’ class is headlined by IMG Academy top-50 running back Jerrick Gibson, who pledged to Texas near the end of June. Washington is the eighth Texan to join the Longhorns’ group — roughly two-thirds of the class hail from the state of Texas.
