3-2-1: Updates to the Kansas State basketball schedule
THREE THINGS WE LEARNED ABOUT KANSAS STATE
2. OFFICIAL VISITS: Three more prospects have scheduled official visits to K-State in June in edge rusher Caleb Redd of St. Louis, in-state offensive lineman Kaedin Massey and Junction City linebacker Michael Boganowski.
3. PASSING: The transfer portal process continues to be a deliberate one for Kansas State. After doing some work on both, they chose to walk away from each of Daimion Collins and Andrew Taylor. They continue to be insistent that they do not have to compromise on a bad fit for talent.
TWO QUESTIONS
1. BASKETBALL SCHEDULE: Do we know all of the non-conference foes for K-State at this point? They will play Nebraska, Villanova, LSU, Wichita State and two of Miami, Georgia and Providence in the Baha Mar Hoops Bahamas Championship.
2. DENNIS: Just how attainable is Toledo transfer Rayj Dennis? The MAC Player of the Year has visited Illinois and Michigan thus far. A visit to Baylor is on the calendar. Indiana is thought to be involved, and some remain under the impression that he will also visit Kansas State. Do the Wildcats have a chance? The most plugged in folks with his recruitment continue to be stubborn in the fact that Illinois is the overwhelming favorite.
ONE K-STATE PREDICTION
1. GRAD TRANSFER POINT GUARD: Now that the transfer portal has closed, it makes the prediction a bit of an obvious one. I think Kansas State will seek the services of a graduate transfer when it comes to an additional point guard for the roster. Tylor Perry can handle the ball a bit and Dai Dai Ames is being brought in just to do that but won’t be asked to shoulder all of the load. It still wouldn’t shock me if a couple that would warrant a great deal of attention become available.
