2026 Top 50 prospect Tradarian Ball and Texas continue to build

For Texarkana (Texas) High tailback Tradarian Ball, this is exactly where he wants to be in his recruitment. He’s snagged over 30 offers, built tremendous relationships with college coaches across the country, and realizes he doesn’t have to make a decision in the near future.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound four-star and On3 Top 50 prospect is in the sweet spot of his recruitment and just wants to keep pushing forward, improving, and working.

“Really the thing that got me here was just keeping my head down, and not letting the internet and that stuff get to my head,” Ball told Inside Texas. “Staying grateful.”

Texas, USC, Ohio State, Georgia, Miami, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Florida State, and Missouri are among his offers, and he’s seen a number of programs and places along the way like Austin, Athens, and Coral Gables. But Texas RBs coach Tashard Choice has been on this recruitment for over a year, and recently stopped by Texas High. Ball will also be back on the Forty Acres soon, specifically June 1st for Elite Camp.

“He told me to keep my head down and keep working,” said Ball about his conversation with Choice. “He tells me he wants me everyday. That means a lot for me when a coach comes to my face and tells me that. I really just think highly about him. (Choice) has the magic touch.”

UT has one running back committed for 2026, Aledo (Texas) stud Raycine Guillory, but the Horns remain close to Ball, Carthage’s KJ Edwards, and Forney’s Javian Osborne.

Ball will take trips to LSU, Ohio State, and Tulane this summer.

After a breakout freshman season of 739 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns in 2022, he was even better for the Texas High Tigers in 2023. He tallied 1,417 total yards and 16 touchdowns as a sophomore for the Texarkana 6A program. But his 10.48 100 meters this Spring in track really put Ball in the upper echelon.

Ball is currently listed as the No. 48 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle, the No. 5 running back, and No. 6 prospect in the state of Texas in the On3 Industry Ranking.
