2026 Safety Keenan Harris Planning to Visit Kentucky in Summer or Fall After Receiving Offer

2026 Safety Keenan Harris Planning to Visit Kentucky in Summer or Fall After Receiving Offer

Keenan Harris, a class of 2026 defensive back out of Missouri, is still only a freshman, but now holds an offer from Kentucky

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound safety from St. Louis University (Saint Louis, MO) told KSR+ that he learned about the offer from UK from his coach, who had a conversation with Kentucky safety coach Frank Buffano.

To be honest, I wasn’t there for the conversation,” Harris said. “They were chatting it up and I was told shortly after.”

While Harris hasn’t spoken directly with the staff yet, he still had good things to say about the Kentucky program.

“I know that Kentucky has been a big football program the last couple of years,” he said. “I know the fanbase is great and that you guys are nice. Everybody down there is cool. They’ve always had a good team and a good squad.”

Next up for Harris is a potential visit to Kentucky.

“I plan on taking a visit either this summer or for sure this fall,” he said.

Harris currently plays both wide receiver and strong safety in high school, but is being recruited to play on defense at Kentucky.

“I feel like I would fit in great,” he said. “I’m more of an outside linebacker slash nickel, but I could play all positions on the defensive end. I feel like it’s a good program and I’d do well.”

His Wider Recruitment

Keenan Harris still has years to go before he steps onto the field to play college football, but he’s already receiving high-level interest at the next level.

In addition to Kentucky, Harris has offers from Missouri, Arkansas, Nebraska, Tennessee, Iowa State, UNLV, Penn State, and Oregon.

“It’s been fun,” Harris said of the recruiting process. “It’s a lot of hard work that I’ve put in and it’s paying off. I’ve still got a lot of time left, but it’s been fun. Just because it’s early doesn’t mean I can take my foot off the gas.”

Harris has already taken visits to Tennessee, Nebraska, and UCF. He was also on campus at Missouri last November as the Tigers fell to Kentucky 21-17.

“I’ve also been to schools where I don’t have offers, but they’re interested in me, like UCLA, USC, and LSU,” he said.

Despite being early in the process, Harris already knows a lot about what he wants in a program.

“One, I’m looking for a team and a place that feels like home,” he said. “I’m also looking for the right places to develop me as a player and as a man. I can’t play football forever. I look for a school that’s doing the same thing with education. Whenever I take the cleats off, I have to live in the real world.”

And what does Harris want fans to know moving forward?

“It’s been a fun ride and we’re going to keep it going,” Harris said.

Keenan Harris’ Game

According to On3, Keenan Harris has a NIL valuation of $5.8k, which ranks No. 6,456 in high school football.

As far as his greatest strengths, Harris pointed towards his IQ, his size, his strength, and his ball skills.

“I have good hands on the defensive side, but I play offense too,” he said.

Moving forward, Harris is focused on improving his coverage skills.

“I can cover well, but last year, I had some problems getting in and out of breaks,” he said. “Now, I’ve been training and I’ve been getting faster and faster.”
