2026 IOL George Haseotes Receives Kentucky Offer: ‘It’s a Big Step in My Recruiting Process’

George Haseotes, a class of 2026 offensive lineman out of Florida, received an offer from Kentucky on Saturday, as UK looks to make a push with the underclassman.

The 6-foot-2, 270-pound interior offensive lineman from Community School of Naples (Naples, FL) told KSR+ that he visited Eastern Kentucky last month and was able to see the Lexington area on that trip. Now, he holds an offer from the Wildcats.

“I was super hyped up because it’s my first SEC offer,” Haseotes said. “It’s a big step in my recruiting process.”

Kentucky associate head coach Vince Marrow is in contact with Haseotes’ coach as he looks to build relationships with coaches early in the process.

“We hit the ground running early and start off strong with a bunch of interests,” Haseotes said. “Once I get into my junior year where I can go on official visits and they can contact me, they’ll have a solid platform to go off of.”

Last season, as an eighth grader, Haseotes started for the IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL) varsity team where he met Edward McKee. McKee spent the 2022 season at Kentucky before transferring to Coastal Carolina this offseason.

“I’m really close with [McKee] and he said he liked the program a lot,” Haseotes said. “He told me about the coaches and how he played with guys like Will Levis. They set a really good example for him. The leadership and the bond within the program is really strong. That piqued my interest.”

Now, Haseotes hopes to visit in the near future.

“That’s definitely a possibility,” he said. “If they were to invite me up there, I would 100% go. Either way, I’m looking forward to it, whether it’s on my own time, they invite me to a game, or whatever the case is.”

His Wider Recruitment

George Haseotes is still very early in the recruiting process, but already holds offers from several top programs.

“It’s been a dream come true,” Haseotes said of the recruiting process. “Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve dreamed about playing Division 1. There aren’t many freshmen in the country at this level. It’s a dream come true and it’s a blessing to see my hard work paying off.”

Haseotes currently holds offers from Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, New Mexico State, Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan State, and U Penn. He has already taken visits to Louisvie, Eastern Kentucky, and South Florida.

This summer, Haseotes intends to check out several schools during their camps, including Mercer (June 1), Florida State (June 7), Tennessee (June 14), and Notre Dame (June 15).

“I’m [paying attention to] the coaches,” Haseotes said. “I was on the phone with the offensive line coach from Michigan State and he was really welcoming and told me the specifics about my game that he really liked. That was my first experience with a coach that really went into the intricacies of my game and told me specifically what he likes and what I need to improve on. That’s really important to me – coaches being honest with you and telling you what you need to improve on as well.”

George Haseotes’ Game

George Haseotes plays on both the offensive and defensive line at the high school level, which he said has been a great benefit to his game.

“Playing both ways is really important to me because it keeps me conditioned,” he said. “Once I get to a point where I’m only playing one way, I’ll be really ready for it and I’ll be super energetic when I’m on the field.”

Heading into his sophomore year, Haseotes is looking to hit the weight room.

“My footwork is really crisp,” he said. “It won’t hurt to work on my strength in the weight room and be able to anchor down on those bigger defensive linemen because that could be a problem down the road.”

With an offer from Kentucky in hand, Haseotes has a message for all the UK fans.

“I just want them to know that nothing will stop me from achieving my dreams,” he said. “I sincerely hope that the University of Kentucky keeps me within the program and keeps me activated. They’re definitely a huge possibility for me. I’m really interested in the school and I’m excited to see how it goes down the road.”
