2026 Corbin TE Eli Pietrowski ‘Can’t Wait’ to Visit Kentucky After Adding Offer

While the Smith Twins dominated the attention of Friday’s Kroger KSR Game of the Week, it was Corbin 2026 tight end Eli Pietrowski who came away with Kentucky’s attention. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound tight end added an offer from Kentucky that night, telling KSR+ that he was “truly surprised” by it.
“It was really out of nowhere,” Pietrowski said. “I was super happy and super blessed to get it. I couldn’t be happier to get an offer from there.”
With the offer being so new, Pietrowski wants to spend time getting to know all about the Cats.
“I haven’t been on a visit there or anything, but I love it up there,” he said. “I’ve been there for Kentucky games. I like it. It’s a really nice campus. The fans are really good. I think it’s a pretty good place.”
Now, Pietrowski is looking to get there for a more formal visit experience.
“I would love to get on a visit,” he said. “I haven’t talked to them yet about going on one, but I would love to get up there on a visit.”
Playing with The Smith Twins
Friday night was a big night at Corbin High School, not only because of Pietrowski’s Kentucky offer but also because Kentucky landed a pair of commits. Pietrowski’s teammates Jacob and Jerod Smith announced they were flipping from Michigan to Kentucky following Corbin’s 6-0 win over Frederick Douglass in KSR’s Kroger Game of the Week.
“They’re phenomenal players,” Pietrowski said of the twins. “That’s obvious on the field. Something that people don’t see is their work ethic off the field, their passion for the game, and they’re great leaders. They’re all-around amazing players.”
Pietrowski said he spent time on the bus talking with the twins about the Cats.
“We were all super excited,” he said.
Early Stages of the Recruiting Process
It’s still early for Eli Pietrowski as he navigates the recruiting process; in fact, he can’t even hear directly from college coaches for another year. Still, that doesn’t take away from the overall excitement he’s feeling.
“It’s an amazing feeling, man,” Pietrowski said. “I love it. It’s great. To get recruited at such a young age, it doesn’t happen much. I’m blessed. I’m blessed to be getting recruited this early.”
In addition to Kentucky, Pietrowski also holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky. He’s also had Marshall invite him to come to one of their camps and is planning a visit to Miami of Ohio.
“I’m going to try and get up to Kentucky as fast as I can,” he said. “I want to be somewhere I’m happy. I want to love the location, love playing for the football team, get close with the coaches, and I just want to enjoy it.”
Eli Pietrowski’s Game
Despite being listed as a wide receiver by On3, Eli Pietrowski of Corbin (KY) projects to play the tight end position at the college level; in fact, Pietrowski sees blocking as one of his best traits.
“I’m a very good blocker,” he said. “I can block for my teammates and make plays without the ball in my hands.”
This season, Pietrowski is working on his route running and his speed.
“I feel like I can get a little bit faster and I could run a little bit better routes,” he said. “Mostly, I’d say my speed. I need to get faster.”
With the improvements in his game, Pietrowski wants to show people that he can make big plays on the field.
“I’m a playmaker and I’m a selfless player,” he said. “I feel like I could be a really good blocking tight end, running short routes. I feel like my hands are good enough and my blocking ability is good enough to play at that level in that scheme.”
All in all, Pietrowski is excited to continue his relationship with the Kentucky staff and Big Blue Nation.
“I want them to know that I’m grateful to get an offer to come play there,” he said. “I can’t wait to get up on campus. It’s just a blessing.”
