2025 Top-100 WR to visit USC this fall
Wide receivers are running rampant in the Coliseum in Los Angeles, catching deep balls and scoring touchdowns, so naturally recruits are wanting to see for themselves. The Trojans have two elite talents committed in the 2024 class, but some of the focus will begin to shift to a very talented wide receiver class in the 2025 cycle.
WeAreSC learned today that 2025 Geneva (Ill.) Geneva Community top-100 wide receiver Talyn Taylor is planning to visit USC this fall. There is not a confirmed date for that visit yet.
Taylor is the No. 71 overall prospect and No. 12 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 3 player in Illinois.
On3 ranks Taylor higher than some in the industry, tabbing him as the No. 63 overall prospect and No. 1 player in Illinois.
USC extended their offer to Taylor this past June. It remains his most recent offer.
In a breakout sophomore season, Taylor reeled in 51 receptions for 745 yards and eight touchdowns in 10 games played.
He has already stepped it up as a junior, playing four games so far and hauling in 19 receptions for 358 yards and four touchdowns.

The 6-foot-1, 165-pound wideout holds 21 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Wisconsin has the current lead to land a commitment from Taylor at 30.2%. Iowa, Michigan State, and Notre Dame trail.
RPM was released to the public in December 2021. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
