2025 Tennessee OL Takhyian Whitset has de-committed

Purdue’s 2025 recruiting class took another hit tonight when Tennessee OL Takhyian Whitset de-committed.

A 6-5, 265-pound product of Antioch High in Nashville, Whitset was an On3 4-star recruit who committed to Purdue on May 1.

He is the third member of the Boilermakers’ 2025 class to rescind his pledge, joining WR Lebron Hill and CB Dawayne Galloway. Purdue also has seen 2026 QB Oscar Rios de-commit.

Purdue still has one 2025 o-line commitment: Cameron Gorin.

Purdue now counts just 11 commits in its 2025 class.
