2025 running back Deondrae Riden to visit Ole Miss this weekend for Juice Fest 23

2025 DeSoto (Tex.) running back Deondrae Riden has primarily been focused on local programs in the early onset of his recruitment. Now he will venture out of the Lone Star State footprint for an unofficial visit to Oxford, Miss., for Ole Miss’ Juice Fest 23 this weekend.
On3’s Sam Spiegelman first reported the news on Sunday the 5-foot-10, 195 pound prospect would be taking the trip. The four-star recruit already holds notable offers from Texas, Texas A&M, TCU, SMU, Southern Cal, Alabama, Oregon, Utah, Miami, Baylor, Texas Tech and Nebraska, among others.
Riden is the On3 Industry Ranking’s No. 13-ranked running back and the 152nd overall prospect in the 2025 class. The rising junior is Texas’ No. 26 overall player.
Ole Miss defensive line coach Randall Joyner has been pushing hard for Deondrae Riden to visit Ole Miss.
The assistant coach is originally from Texas, played his college ball at SMU and recruits the state of Texas hard for Lane Kiffin. Riden has quickly formed a tight relationship with Joyner and will be at Ole Miss June 29 to see what the Rebel program is all about.
As a sophomore, Riden ran for 1,350 yards and 18 touchdowns on 199 carries, averaging 6.8 yards per carry. The Eagles finished the year 14-2 and won the 6A-DII title after a dominant 42-17 win over Vandegrirft. The Ole Miss target ran for 183 yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries.
Ole Miss and running backs coach Kevin Smith signed a Texas running back in 2023.
New Caney (Tex.) four-star Kedrick Reescano spurned in-state programs for the Rebels after a stellar senior season. The three-year starter ran for 4,548 yards and 67 touchdowns. He finished his prep career with 23 100+ yard rushing games and averaged 7.7 yards per carry. In 2022, he ran for 1,849 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also had four receiving touchdowns and a kick return for a score as well.
The one known as “Tiger” is also keeping a close eye on Ohio State. He talked with Spiegelman about the recruitment from coach Tony Alford.
“I talk to Coach Tony around every day … every other day for sure, and I’m really trying to get down there to show them I’m interested,” Riden said. “They develop there. They develop running backs, but they also develop everything. I like how they develop running backs, I like Coach Tony and the entire coaching staff.”
Along with the Buckeyes and in-state programs, it seems the Trojans and head coach Lincoln Riley are also going to be heavy in the mix.
“I love the offense,” he said. “Their offense fits me. They run a lot of outside zone, a lot of counters, and the stuff we already run at DeSoto, so I think it would be a good fit.”
